As a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation, we uphold high standards of integrity, compliance and learner care in accordance with the ASQA Standards for RTOs 2025. This means your learning experience is not only compliant and credible but also designed with your individual needs, wellbeing and outcomes in mind.
Whether you are studying at one of our specialist training facilities or completing your practical training in the workplace, we are here to support you from enrolment through to qualification.
The Student Handbook is your complete guide to studying with the National Skills Training Institute. It explains your rights and responsibilities as a student, the standards of conduct expected throughout your training, and our commitment to delivering quality, compliant and inclusive education.
Inside you will find information about assessment requirements, attendance expectations, appeals and complaints processes, workplace health and safety, privacy, and academic integrity. It also outlines what support services are available and how to access help whenever you need it.
Before you can begin your studies, you are required under Australian Government regulations to complete an Application to Enrol. This is the first and most important step in the enrolment process for any nationally recognised qualification.
The form gathers your personal details, course selection and identification information so that we can assess your eligibility and prepare your official enrolment in accordance with the Standards for RTOs 2025. It also ensures your training information is accurately recorded within the Australian VET system.
All students complete a short Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital assessment at the start of their course. This is not a test — it is a tool that helps us understand your individual learning needs.
Based on your results we can provide tailored assistance such as extra tutoring, simplified materials, or guided reading and writing support.
Government subsidised training is available to eligible students in Queensland and New South Wales.
If you are not eligible for government funding, we offer up-front payment, direct debit payment plans and instalment options via invoice. Plans vary by course — the options for each are listed on the individual course page under Fees and Payment Options.
Tell us what you need help with and our student support team will be in touch.
